A bit about Anni and The Little Studio in Mapperley ...

The Little Studio was set up in Autumn 2008 with the intention of offering short leisure courses to small groups. It is also Anni’s own workshop where she makes her glass jewellery, hangings and other work.

The Studio contains a wide variety of equipment for working glass and presents a range of workshops and products.
The emphasis is on relaxed, well-organised learning and participants have their own tools and area for the duration of the workshop. With maximum numbers of four, on a full day or a two hour session, there is always plenty of expert help to enable you to construct items you will be proud to have made.

The workshop opened on completion of Anni’s degree in Design from Glasgow School of Art where she specialised in ceramics, latterly becoming interested in glass. The two materials are closely linked and in some countries referred to as the Silicate Arts. Anni’s area of glass is warm glass, that is glass which is fired in a kiln to achieve the final result.

In addition to the tuition offered, Anni is also willing to speak to groups (for a small fee to charity) and to organise bespoke sessions for all ages either in her workshop or coming to a larger venue.
Please contact her by phone or e-mail to discuss the possibilities.
