Taster Sessions & Workshops
in Kiln-Fired Glass Jewellery & Glassware Items

All workshops are now bespoke and by arrangement to suit participants preferences & experience - from complete beginners to advanced students - and with an emphasis on enjoyment!

There are no fixed dates for workshops. An individual or small group (maximum 4 people) can request a workshop, and I will be happy to arrange a mutually convenient date. The range of workshops available reflects demand and requests.

What can you expect?

      *A centrally heated workshop environment
      *Top quality tools and materials
      *Generous table space
      *Clear information and demonstration
      *Flexibility and choice
*Small items posted on to you
      *Personal and knowledgeable service

On any workshop you will learn the basic techniques of cutting and building glass into a design for fusing. I have a wide range of Bulls Eye glass in stock together with dichroic and accessory glass. My workshop is equipped with three kilns, a grinder, taurus saw (like a fret saw for glass) and a wide variety of equipment.
My focus is always on fun and success, friendly creativity.

Day Workshop (5 Hours):

In a day you can make a medium size bowl blank which will be slumped in your chosen mould, you could also make a wall or window hanging (simple hanging loop included, professional hanging systems available at cost), or you could learn the techniques of dichroic jewellery and make several pieces for yourself or gifts.
FOOD: On day classes we can either send out for lunch from the local deli, reasonable and always delicious, or you can bring your own lunch.
A quiet day of creativity with individual equipment, gentle tuition and the feeling of going home from a satisfying day.

Taster Sessions (2 Hours):

I also offer 2-hours workshops when you would be taught the more simple techniques and make a small version or amount of any of the above.

All fees include coffee break and lunchtime beverages, the use of tools and are inclusive of all materials in most cases (I will tell you if a particular glass incurs extra, but this hardly ever happens).
My rates are according to group size:

5 hours (day, normally 10.30am until 4pm with 30 minutes for lunch)
         - 1 person £135
         - 2 people  £110 p.p.
